Check your diaphragm placement Anonymous on March 05, 2011 Feel with your finger, the cervix through the dome of the diaphragm. The cervix firmly feel, but not bony. It feels a bit like thetip of the nose.If the membrane does not cover the cervix or if you do not feel thecervix at all, the dome is not the right place. This means you must remove the cover, put more spermicidal gel, and insert it again. The membrane should not fall out when you cough, squat, sit on thetoilet or walk around. If your diaphragm stays in place when you do these things, the front rim is most likely in place above the pubicbone (see picture right).
