You can put your diaphragm in while you are lying down, squatting orstanding with one leg on a chair. Your legs need fairly wide open.Bend your knees can help. Once you're in a position to do thefollowing:
With one hand, the membrane in the center fold with the dome down(see picture below). Keep your vagina open with the other hand.

Insert the diaphragm into the vagina with the aim of your tailbone(see picture below). Slide the diaphragm into the vagina as far backas you can.
Use a finger to push the front edge of the membrane behind yourpubic bone, aiming for your belly button.
